about GISCThe General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) is an independent, non-statutory organisation which was set up to regulate the sales, advisory and service standards of Members (insurers, intermediaries - including brokers, agents, and anyone acting for them). Its main purpose is to make sure that general insurance customers are treated fairly.The GISC have devised a set of rules their members must comply with. These rules affect the products and services CDL Internet Services provide to their clients who are members of the GISC.

Membership of the GISC is not mandatory at the moment but in the long term, the intention is that GISC will become a fully empowered regime covering all organisations involved in the general insurance activities in the United Kingdom.
